Bridging the Gap: Building a Grief-Literate Community Through
Language, Connection, and Peer Support
Join Michelle Moriarty, founder of Grief Connect®, at the Dying to Know Day Expo in Mundaring, where she will present her keynote, Bridging the Gap: Building a Grief-Literate Community Through Language, Connection, and Peer Support.
Inspired by this year’s theme, “Nobody Knows”, Michelle draws on more than 20 years of professional experience as an accredited social worker, together with her own lived experience of profound loss, to explore why grief can feel so isolating, why the language we use matters, and how connection and peer support can change someone’s grief experience.
Whether you’re grieving, supporting someone you care about, or work in health, education, aged care, community services or funeral care, you’ll leave with practical insights, greater confidence, and practical ideas you can put into practice immediately.
The Dying to Know Day Expo also features a diverse program of expert speakers, exhibitors and community organisations, making it a valuable day of learning, conversation and connection.
Attendance is free, but bookings are essential.
